New tissue: The field of tissue engineering has developed to re-create functional, healthy tissues and organs to replace diseased, dying or dead tissues. The best way to replace a persons lost or damaged tissue is the same natural healthy tissue. This knowledge has led to the concept of engineering or regenerating new tissue from preexisting tissue.

GTR and GBR: It sounds like you are asking about Guided Tissue Regeneration (GTR) and/or Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR). These procedures allow doctors to add soft and hard tissues, respectively, to the area(s) of surgery. Talk to your Dentist, Periodontist or Oral Surgeon about these processes and see if they perform them. Not everyone does.
