Had caries in teeth nd a dental abscess. i got it extracted but the tissue nd gum under that teeth were swollen nd still swollen after 2 years. why?

Get a CBCT Scan: It should not take more then a couple of month for the swelling to go down. If there is something else, an oral surgeon should be able to evaluate the swallen area, take xrays or even a CT scan and give you some answers. Good luck hope you will get better.

Swelling: There may be some residual infection. Area should have been fully healed within a few months. Did you return to the Dentist that did the extraction for a reevaluation? Have you been seen for regular professional care since your extraction? Please see a Dentist or an Oral Surgeon to have area examined and imaged. Additional treatment may be indicated.
