Wear tinted glasses: Glasses will relieve eye strain and tinting will reduce light sensitivity.

Eye exam: You need to have an eye exam. Eye strain is often caused by uncorrective refractive error (you may need glasses). Light sensitifity can have many causes (need for glasses, dry eye, inflammation in the eye). Also some patients are simply more light sensitive than others. Again, an eye exam by would be helpful in sorting these things out....

Eye strain: Your description sounds like dry eye symptomology. Try using frequent artificial tears. If no improvement, see your doctor.
