What should i do if pterygium is recurring?

See an eye doctor: Your ophthalmologist can see if it is and if it requires surgery to remove.

Depends: If it is small and not symptomatic, it is reasonable to leave alone. It if is growing fast and is irritated, another surgery is not unreasonable. It is important to wear wrap-around sunglasses to minimize its growth as it is due to prolonged exposure to sunlight. You should see your ophthalmologist.

Avastin (bevacizumab) injection: Tell eyeMD: who might consider AVASTIN (bevacizumab) (anti-angiogenic drug) injection to stop pterygium from growing more or steroid injection (but has more risks than Avastin (bevacizumab). See full info: eyedoc2020.blogspot.com

Return to MD: You should return to the ophthalmologist who did the original excision. This is a field of active interest and investigation and probably new treatments are available since your original excision. It probably can be removed with improved techniques.
