A member asked:

Is it possible for svt episode to last for a few seconds and then subside?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) can be prolonged and require medical or electrical cardioversion back to regular rhythm and subsequent ablation by an electrophysiologist. It can also just occur for several beats at a time and be self-limited. Please discuss your particular symptoms and sutuation with your doctor to determine your best treatment plan. Good luck!!
