Oral Sedation: Halcion (triazolam) is a sedative drug in the benzodiazepine family. It is given to anxious and/or phobic patients prior to treatment to better help them tolerate an appointment. It has two main effects: sedation and amnesia. In other words, it relaxes and stops memory while it is active. Your dentist should have explained all of this to you before he/she gave you the pills. You should ask him/her about it.

Halcion: This medication was likely prescribed for oral sedation if you have a lot of dental anxiety. Please have someone drive you to and from the dentist so that you don't fall asleep at the wheel of your car while driving.
