I was on 50mg. of clomid (clomiphene) from days 3-5 . when i had my blood work done 7 dpo my hormone levels were 44 for prog. and 632 estrodiol. any ideas on why?

Expected: Yes, that's exactly what you are supposed to see post-ov, Estradiol is around 400-600 and Progesterone is anything over 2-3. Congratulations!
