Better way: I am not in expert in weight loss but i think your approach might not be the best method to effectively lose weight. My understanding is the more efficient methods actually increase the frequency of meals with smaller portions and limiting high glycemic index food sources. Staving or fasting from food actually increases certain hormones to encourage fat storage rather than stoking your metabolism.

Eat more: Your body was attacked by the extraction. Now is not the time to limit nutrition. Give yourself a break. Restart the weight loss routine in a week or two.

Paradoxical gain: If you eat too little, your metabolic rate will drop, making it easier to gain weight. You will likely need to increase intake to a healthy level in order to start losing again.
