Submental Node: When a submental node pops up, suspect a problem with a central tooth in the lower jaw or a recent trauma to the lips or gums or cheeks. Have you been bitten by an insect / spider? Have you any other nodes? If the swelling does not go away in four week or you develop fevers, chills, or develop any local symptoms, go see your doctor.
