Having the front and right side of thyroid removed due to lumps, i have pain shooting up the side of neck into ear, it's a sharp pain is it the lumps?

Thyroid lumps: Usually lumps in the thyroid do not cause pain, but they can be associated with pain, if the thyroid gland is inflamed. It is common for an inflamed thyroid gland to be associated with ear pain. If you are having the lumps removed, hopefully, the biopsy will tell you if the gland is inflamed.
