Vaginitis: Metronidazole is used to treat both bacterial vaginitis and trichomoniasis. You should be able to have sex immediately after completing the therapy. One word of caution. The latter is a sexually transmitted disease, and your husband may be an asymptomatic carrier and if he was not treated (assuming that is why you were taking this), you may become reinfected in short order.
