Probably not serious: You may have torn the edge of the wound slightly, especially if it was sutured closed. Call the doctor who did the surgery. Your activity level over the next couple of weeks will depend on how much damage there is (if any) and if there is any infection present.

See your doctor: It sounds like you have a dehiscence of the incision. Call your surgeon or go see a wound care specialist for treatment. You probably can still play but it needs to be seen and then decided on.
