Reflux: This sounds very much like reflux and it is significant. I recommend you see a GI physician or a general surgeon who dose egd's (looking down your esophagus with a scope). People with bad reflux will cough when laying flat bc the acid will come up and irritate their larynx. Sleep in an incline position, avoid acidic foods/drinks, start Prilosec over the counter. And be seen!
