Not likely: Focal pain that radiates downwards is typically related to neuromuscular irritation. It is more common to have swelling and skin color changes with blood clot.

Probably not: Many blood clots in the legs have no symptoms. People may experience warmth, redness, swelling, and occasionally a dull ache in the area. The symptoms you describe are not usual for this problem. However, if they continue have them see their doctor.
