A member asked:

Is all this green mucus my scabs coming off after tonsillectomy?

Healing: After the tonsillectomy the area where the tonsils used to be can turn white and then slowly return to pink. This is the natural course. Scabs are usually dark black/red spots and usually only in a few locations (they dont cover the entire area).

Probably : The scabs that form on the area where your tonsils used to be form a pretty ugly greenish, brownish yellow scab that a lot of people think is pus. You are right. These are the scabs that usually come off after a week.
