Get it checked.: It could be a swollen salivary gland. Dentist worry about under the tongue and side of the tongue swellings as they could be something more serious. It should be checked by a dentist.

Swelling: Any pain, swelling, or bleeding mandates immediate examination. Swelling may be from trauma, allergy, pernicious habits, neurologic or circulatory disorder. If it has not completely disappeared in 2 weeks from onset, make an appointment with your Dentist for examination.
