I have a swollen part of my tongue left side towards the tip runs along the vein i have searched the internet nothing cancerous looks like it. ideas?

Need for examination: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining the tongue and surrounding tissues. If the swelling has persisted more than a couple of days, you should consult your doctor.

Get it checked.: It could be a swollen salivary gland. Dentist worry about under the tongue and side of the tongue swellings as they could be something more serious. It should be checked by a dentist.

Swelling: Any pain, swelling, or bleeding mandates immediate examination. Swelling may be from trauma, allergy, pernicious habits, neurologic or circulatory disorder. If it has not completely disappeared in 2 weeks from onset, make an appointment with your Dentist for examination.
