No: Lyrica (pregabalin) is a very effective medicine primarily used for management of neuropathic type pain (nerve generated pain). Examples include shingles pain, diabetic neuropathy, nerve pain after spine surgery, etc. However, it may not that effective for management of purely musculoskeletal pain such as pain after sports injury. There is some evidence that it may be effective in fibromyalgia.
