Tough question: Meniscal surgery is the most common surgery in orthopedics. It is typically well tolerated and has few complications. The few that can occur include undo bleeding, stiffness, unrelieved pain and a blood clot.

Usually few: There are a few minor complications. Swelling is very common, usually a 1-2 % chance of infection. A DVT or blood clot in the calf may also occur. This presents with aswelling and pain in the calf.
