It can be: CP is defined as a disorder of motion & posture based on an injury to the developing nervous system at any point from the early stages of pregnancy up to the 3rd birthday. A stroke in utero is that sort of injury.Such issues as cord events, where the flow of blood was pinched off for a period & intrauterine infection are other possible causes.
