A member asked:

Is it possible that i feel pain more strongly than most people?

Yes: There are variations in the way individuals experience pain. Women generally have a lower pain threshold than men and it varies with the menstrual cycle. Fibromyalgia is defined as having a lower threshold to experience pain. If you have a region with painful muscles you may experience something called central sensitization, where your pain threshold is lowered throughout your body.

Pain Tolerance: Pain tolerance is unique and individual. It is often influenced by your emotional state. If you are depressed and anxious, you can be more sensitive to pain.
