Yes: If pregnant, it is very common for hands to become numb secondary to temporary carpal tunnel syndrome. The best cure for this would be to wear wrist splints like those worn during roller blading. This will put your wrists in an anatomically neutral position, allowing the best blood flow, decreasing pain and numbness until after delivery.

No, unless ..: If you are sleeping on them, you may cause numbness due to pressure on the nerve/blood vessel plexus. This should reverse quickly. If you are not sleeping on them, see a neurologist for evaluation.

RICE: Rest, ice, compression and elevation is a good rule to apply to any sore extremity. A sling of some type is also helpfull and regular use of an nsaid. If things are not improving in a week get them checked out.

Some sedative hypnotic medications tends to do this more frequently than others. If you are having bad dreams that are occurring only since starting the sleep aid and no other notable changes in your medication or life have occurred, talk with your doctor about maybe another med.

Sphincter tone: We have 2 sphincters that prevent stool from coming out. One is internal, the other is external. As long as one is working, stool should not come out. If you have had children, you could have damaged these sphincters. Diabetes, ms, infectious diarrhea can cause incontinence.
