Is it better to be asleep or awake during a wisdom teeth extraction?

It depends on you: Better if you don't want to remember anything from the treatment. Not better if you are not so much concerned about remembering and concerned about the additional fees for sedation.

Asleep: If you are having multiple teeth extracted, i recommend IV sedation. For a single tooth that is not impacted, i would recommend just a local anesthetic.

Sleep: Most patients prefer to be deeply sedated during wisdom teeth. Patient preference is important. For best results, make sure you are evaluated and treated by a board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon.
