A member asked:

What can i do to reduce the swelling in my tongue?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tongue Swelling: True tongue swelling should be evaluated urgently as it could represent an underlying allergic reaction. Often the oral mucosa/tongue is effected first in an anaphylactic response particularly to something ingested. Massive tongue swelling can lead to airway blockage which can be an emergency. Best not to ignore this kind of problem if significant. Hope this helps.
