Is it possible for leeches to survive inside the human body if swallowed?

Swallowed Leeches: Swallowed leeches, while not a suggested meal, will be digested like most other foods. I have read comments like "they will hook on". This is extremely unlikely. The acid in your stomach should do the job of digesting them. If you start to experience recurrent abdominal pains, go see you doctor.
