A member asked:

Are there different types of colorblindness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The most common is a deficiency in recognition of colors in the red-green spectrum. And these occur in moderate loss to severe loss. Others find difficulty recognizing the blue-yellow spectrum- much less common. A few cannot see colors at all but these usually have lowered acuity. And some acquire it from advanced retinal disease or rare strokes.
