Plastic surgeon: Talk with your plastic surgeon. Obviously, your expectations were not met. There may be reasons why he/she used the implant size that you are unhappy with. There may be a possibility of reoperation with larger implants if you are really bothered by this.

Change the size: You can easily exchange the implants for either a bigger size or a smaller one. Depending on how much of a change you desire, will determine the extent of surgery necessary. The greater the change, the more surgery that would likely be needed to make it look great.

Discuss options w MD: I'm sure your surgeon wants you to be happy but there may be many factors that play into this. If you currently have a 850cc implant, larger may not be possible or recommended. However if you desire a larger implant and have a modest sized implant, you may want to discuss this with your surgeon who will help you understand the risks of going larger. It is not unreasonable to expect additional fees.

Communicate.: Best to communicate your concerns/questions with your plastic surgeon in a calm and constructive fashion. After this communication process, hopefully you and your plastic surgeon will be able to come up with a solution to achieve your goals (if safely possible).

Contemplate and act: First do your homework. Consider why you are unhappy, and determine what needs to be improved. If the size needs to change, how much? If the shape is a problem, what contours are wrong. With a clear goal in mind, discuss your goals with your plastic surgeon in a clear way. There is likely no perfect implant, so there are often trade-offs. If the trade-offs are worthwhile then a revision may help.

Follow-up: Is important to follow up with the surgeon who performed surgery and discuss your concerns with him or her. Although unhappiness with size can occur it is important to determine whether or not there was a difference in communication between you and your surgeon prior to surgery. Nevertheless if you agreed upon the size implant and you feel it is either too big or too small, reoperation can occur.

Unsatisfied: You should most certainly speak to your plastic surgeon. Depending on the timing of the operation and anatomic factors there may be a reason for the size. It is important to have a clear goal going into the operation.
