A member asked:

Will restasis work for someone who has dry eyes from wearing contacts for too long?

No: Restasis works on decreasing immune reaction. It works best in patients with tear dysfunction and auto immune disorders , ie rheumatoid arthritis. It is not really effective in common dry eye or in contact lens over use.

Maybe: Restasis may help some over time in this scenario but bilateral lower lid plugs would be my recommendation. Go see your cornea doctor for this consideration. In the meantime, use lots of artificial tears.
