A member asked:

My optometrist told me that if the lotemax (loteprednol) did not work for the inflammation then restasis won't work for the severe dry eyes. is this true i hve dout?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sort of...: Restasis is very good medication for mild dry eyes. For moderate to severe dry eyes, Restasis is not enough and I do other things in addition to the Restasis, like doxycycline, warm compresses, IPL, Blepharotomy, punctal plugs, Prokera stem cells, Serum tears. etc.. I would see an ophthalmologist that treat a lot of dry eyes...
