Dry eye treatment: Initial treatment for dry eye includes, frequent artificial tears, ointment at night, warm compresses on eyelids 2-3 times a day, and omega 3 fatty acid supplements. If no improvement, punctal plus or a low dose steroid and/or Restasis can then be considered. Many other therapies can be utilized if needed. Go see a cornea specialist with expertise in dry eye therapy.
