Have been doing restasis-3 months & eyes feel good. if starting to feel dry again will it take 2 months to work again? thank you!

Yes.: Restasis is designed to be used regularly in order to get the maximal benefit. You should continue to use it, especially as it is providing you with relief. Dry eye is a chronic condition that can be treated but not cured.

Very likely: Restasis works by removing the inflammation around your tear glands and allowing them to recover. It normally takes 3 to 6 months to notice improvement. Progress is best monitored by schirmer's 2 tear production test. After 3 months, one may feel better but likely is not yet fully recovered. Best to continue until fully recovered and then check tear production every several months.If low, restart.
