Are there any requirements to have lasik surgery?

Evaluation needed: Lasik can be very helpful to eliminate an intrinsic need for eyeglasses. Many are eligible but your lasik surgeon needs to evaluate you for this as the power needs to be within the limits of the machine and the eye needs to have certain parameters which can be measured ahead of time.

Yes : Your prescription, corneal thickness, corneal topography/ regularity, no other significant eye diseases, reasonable expectation. See your corneal surgeon for a lasik screening.

LASIK: Patients must be appropriate candidates for lasik to undergo the procedure. This requires a preoperative exam.
