None: Lasik surgery is an elective procedure. There aren't any signs that would make it a requirement. There may be situations (or simply the desire) when lasik can provide a greater convenience where other methods of vision correction are undesired.

LASIK: Lasik surgery is never required since it is an elective surgery. If someone has a glasses prescription and wishes to decrease their need for glasses or contact lenses, then lasik can be considered.
