Most of the time,yes: Generally, ptosis is repaired using a number of surgical techniques. Rarely, ptosis may be secondary to a systemic disease (like myasthenia gravis ) and will improve as the underlying medical issue is treated medically. In the past, some patients used what was called a "ptosis crutch" which was a mechanical device fitted onto glasses to lift the lids.
