Yes, but ...: Prometrium (micronized progesterone) is a Progesterone (p4) hormone. P4 prevents ovulation if taken early (think bcp). P4 should only be used after ovulation and stopped if menses and no pregnancy. P4 can delay onset of menses. After stopping p4, normal cycles and ovulation should start again. Talk with your doc about why you took Prometrium (micronized progesterone) and make plan for future ovulation. Best wishes.

Yes: Prometrium (micronized progesterone) doe not inhibit your own ovulation. And it is safe to take in pregnancy so that is why it is a nice medicine. I assume you are taking it to regulate your periods. But since it is generally a low does it wont usually suppress your own body from ovulating.
