What caused my toothache to disappear suddenly?

Abscess/dead: Your nerve is now dead and your tooth is developing an abscess which will bnow grow silently until it fistulates and starts to drain pus. Go to the dentist and stop trying to be your own dentist.

See your dentist: The problem may not have gone away just because the pain did. It is always best to call your dentist and have this checked out.

It might not be good: A sudden decrease in pain could mean that an abscessed tooth is now completely died, or a gum infection has gone further below the gums. Both situations need professional help from your dentist. Don't wait just because the pain is gone.

Temporary: Common scenario. Pain disappears, decay continues until serious pain and abscess. Use this interval to seek dental evaluation to solve problem. The toothache will return.
