How effective is lamisil (terbinafine) for toenail fungus?

It is very good: It has a good track record for the most common nail infections. It is tolerated well, affordable and generally effective. This medicine is by prescription, so ask your podiatrist for one. Simple blood tests to rule out liver problems are commonly performed. If you have a history of liver disease or take certain medications, other options might be better for you.

Lamisil (terbinafine) is effective: In my opinion, Lamisil (terbinafine) is an effective treatment for toenail fungus. There are many factors to consider in the overall evaluation of the success of the treatment. Toenail deformity will not be reverse by lamisil (terbinafine). Consult your doctor for a full discussion of the pros and cons of lamisil (terbinafine).

Not guaranteed.: The reason you hear so many different treatments for toenail fungus is because there is no perfect, sure-fire treatment that works 100% of the time. Oral Lamisil (terbinafine) is good, but not guaranteed.
