Just the fact that: You were bitten is a pretty good sign. Your tetanus status needs to be examined and prophylactic antibiotics are indicated for dog and cat bites to prevent infections. One of the few times that prophylactic antibiotics are indicated. Would recommend it.

Puncture Wounds: Puncture wounds from cats, humans and dogs are very serious especially in the hand. You should see a doctor or go to an urgent care center immediately to recieve prophalactic antibiotics to prevent a deep soft tissue infection.

See a doctor: Cat bites are one of the worst bites. If your cat bit you on the hand you need to be seen as soon as possible to be treated with antibiotics. Cats' needle like teeth can spread bacteria to the tendons of the hand and often require surgery if untreated.
