Yes, but...: Orthodontic treatment is the best way to correct your overbite, in my opinion. Depending on the severity of the overbite, cosmetic dentistry can be used to "camoflague" the overbite by changing the shape of your teeth; however, there is a risk of needing further treatment as a result as well as the continued maintance for the crowns or veneers.

Veneers or crowns: In some cases, porcelain veneers or crowns can correct an overbite without the need for braces. Check with your dentist for all of your treatment options.

Overbite: In layman's terms, an "overbite" typically refers to the upper front teeth sticking out horizontally, further than the lower front teeth. An orthodontist defines an "overbite" as the vertical overlap of the upper front teeth over the lower front teeth. It's best to have an exam with an orthodontist to determine the problem and solutions.

Yes: There are definitely other options than braces. Although, depending on age, and personal choice, you may still opt for orthodontics. You may also choose veneers, crowns, and or implants/bridges if you are missing any teeth. It's best to see your general dentist for a full set of options. Remember, it's your mouth, do what you feel is right, as long as it is also dentally acceptable tx. Best!
