Compression/elevate: If swelling is towards the end of the day, elevation of the limb and use of compression hose/sock can help. Swelling at the end of the day is normal; however, if you are waking up with swelling, this may the result of an underlying condition. Such as BP problem, blockage in lymphatics, vascular condition or kidney problems. Get checked - see your primary care physician.
