Can menstrual blood clots travel to other organs in the body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Retrograde menses: Some women during their period have blood flow through the fallopian tubes and the blood spills into the peritoneal cavity (the space that holds your abdominal and pelvic organs). You may be referring to one of the theories proposed for the development of endometriosis inside organs. But no, the clots don't travel like clots in your blood vessels, which can cause stokes, heart & pulmonary issues.
