Yes: Giant papillary conjunctivitis is generally a chronic response to contact lens wear, contact solutions and sometimes environmental allergens. When it becomes chronic, vessels can grow into the superior cornea and these can threaten vision. Discuss this with an ophthalmologist as treatment is needed.
