Chronic allergy: This is an allergic exacerbation of the lining of the conjunctiva on the inside of the lid especially affecting the upper lid. It is an occasional problem with prosthetic eye wearers and can be quite bothersome. Your ocularist can recommend improved cleaners and lubricants and your oculoplastic surgeon can add to that antiinflammatory medication which can make wear of the eye comfortable.
