Usually in middle: If you have regular periods that are between 26-30 usually right in the middle is the time you most fertile. If your periods are much longer (for instance > 35 days apart) it can be very difficult to know exactly when you are ovulating.

Best fertile time: At age 40, your periods may not always be regular, but if you obtain an ovulation kit, when your peak LH production occurs (the test is positive) any time in the next 24-72 hours is the optimum time for normal pregnancy to occur. Fertility is much reduced past late 30's , so see an infertility specialist if you are not pregnant in six months.
