Depends: When were the teeth removed. If it was recent (past day or so) then i would not be using a heating pad. This will increase blood flow and increase swelling and inflamation. Ice is what you should be using. Heat is helpful later but not right away. It will make it hurt longer. Call your provider if you have concerns.

No: For the first few days, you would want to ice the area down and not promote bleeding at the site. Ask your doctor for some pain medications that may work better.
