Good question: There are many reasons that people get headaches but the science is not clear exactly why yet. It thought that migraine is an inherited disorder so many times if you have a family member with headaches, your chances of having them also greatly increases. Other factors could be sleep disorders, allergies, neck dysfunction and many others. Talk to your doctor about your headaches.

Chronic HA's: Sometimes, an attempt to treat headaches with meds or tylenol (acetaminophen) results in relief but when med wears off, the headache returns. This type of rebound gets worse with time, and needs a different approach to break-up the pattern. Most headaches are not associated with overt brain lesions, and are indeed amenable to treatment.
