Yes: If a child had a skull fracture, they may have had an internal bleed as well or a shearing injury or other brain injury. Behavioral problems can occur after any serious head injury. Seek help from a neurologist.

Certainly: Childrens skulls can be more easily fractured and may have greater or less signifiance depending on other factors such as presence of internal bleed, icp, length of loc, childhood glasgow coma scale, force of injury, length of amnesia, etc. Effects may not be seen sometimes until later as the brain develops or w/ more demands. A pediatric neuropsychological and ped. Neuro eval are best.

Depending on type &: Severity of injury, age, , & pre-injury cognition, traumatic brain injury can impair learning, behavior & social skills. If pre-school age, the extent of cognitive impairment may not be apparent till school-age. With behavior change, neurological, neuropsychological & "db pede" evals are needed.Tbi qualifies him for special ed at age 3 or >, early intervention if <3. See your pede 1st for concerns.
