What are some of the reasons why people who take fazaclo gain weight?

Genetics?: It is not known for certain why some people see increased appetite, binge eating, and not feeling full with associated gain weight with clozapine, while others do not. It may have to do with genetic differences in serotonin (5ht2c) & histamine (h1) receptors. There is some literature to suggest that those who lose weight with Clozapine are less likely to well on the medication.
