Bikes: It is important to get the right size for your child. Best to go to a good bike shop and have them measure and assess the situation and give you alternatives. Do not get bikes that are too advanced for your child. Keep it simple.

The bike store: Take your child to a good bicycle store and get them measured. You don't have to buy it there but they can give you advice about the proper size and fit of the bicycle.
