Set an example early: Before they enter school, children try to imitate their parents. So get a jump on this-literally-and show them how much fun fitness activites can be. When they enter school, they have more options for activities with other kids. So enroll them in team and individual sports and help them practice. When those tough teen years arrive, peer pressure can lead kids in multiple directions. Reward health!
