Depends: It depends on the child's overall level of functioning in all major life areas. This has to do with the degree(s) of impairment. You can check with the disability office in your state. Also, your child may qualify for special services and even potentially be eligable for such services in the public school system until his or her 22nd birthday.

Apergers: Speak to a board certified child psychiatrist and be sure you are also under the care of a psychologist who knows aspergers.
